"Despite the recession, Ohio still has the most foundries in the country", says Mr. Bill Manz of the Ohio Office of Energy Efficiency. The Ohio office is working with Mr. Bob Purgert, President of Energy Industries of Ohio (EIO) with a sub-contract to buyCASTINGS to provide industrial outreach to the Metal Casting, Steel, Aluminum, and other industries. The outreach is funded by the Dept. of Energy’s Industries of the Future States Program. EIO coordinates the industrial outreach efforts with the goal of providing information and assistance to companies to assist them in energy conservation. "Best Practice" seminars, plantwide assessment as well as individual consultation on energy related issues are available through buyCASTINGS.
