Mission Statement
"The American Foundry Society exists to provide and promote knowledge and services that strengthen the metal casting industry for the ultimate benefit of its customers and society."
| To Accomplish this Mission, AFS Headquarters will: |

Organize and Execute programs approved by the Board of Directors
|
|
|
Develop information on technical and management practices and processes through industry committees
|
|
|
Disseminate foundry information through books, pamphlets, correspondence, and other publications or media
|
|
|
Publish the Society's official magazine, Modern Casting
|
|
|
Maintain membership, committee, and other official records
|
|
|
Conduct conventions and exhibits for the industry as a whole
|
|
|
Sponsor, directly or jointly, projects for the advancement of the foundry industry
|
|
|
Maintain an up-to-date library of foundry literature
|
|
|
Service all elements of the casting industry in matters of foundry practice, products, training, research, management, human resources, and governmental affairs
|
